Review: Essential Honey & Shea Mask!

I was on the hunt for a lovely hair mask because I color my hair every three or four months and it kills my ends. I heard a lot of good things about one called the Essential Honey & Shea mask from a few people. Even Bubzbeauty has mentioned it as one of her favorites so I needed to try it. She said she ordered it off a website called Sasa.com which is actually very popular. Its almost like the Sephora of the Asian community but they just have a way better online store with odd and cheap things. The price fluctuates sometimes on Sasa but I have never seen it over $10.00 but you can check out the link below for the current price.

I must say I really enjoy this product. I have tried several masks in the past and and usually they just end up weighing my hair down and not much else. After just one use of this mask my hair felt hydrated but I didn't feel like I had excess product in my hair. The best results I had with this product is when I used the Lush Godiva shampoo bar. The rich shea products in the shampoo really boosted the power of this shea mask in my opinion.

The smell doesn't bother me and its not a bad smell its just kind of off to me. The consistency is creamy and thick as expected and it is a peachy shade. You get a fair amount of product too (200g) and a little does go a long way. It spreads easily throughout the hair so you don't need much. My only problem with this product is I cannot find a complete list of ingredients in English. The Sasa website only says there is shea butter and sunflower oil which obviously there are a crap load more than that.

Overall I do believe I will repurchase this and the rest of the line too because they also have great reviews so I am very interested. When I do get my hands on that I will let you know what I think!

Overall I give this one an A
Pros: moisturizing, nourishing, works with my hair type (wavy, medium course hair with dry ends), price, doesn't weigh hair down, great texture
Cons: have to get online, label is in another language, smell is weird but not offensive

Project X Pan! Everyone is doing it ;]

So everyone has something in the back of their junk drawer that is taking up some prime real estate. You gotta admit it to yourself honey Am I wrong? Maybe even more than you can count I bet. Well I know I can only speak for myself. So I made the dreadful yet...enlightening experience to go on project X pan. For those who do not know this is where you chose and "x" number of items that you would like to "hit pan" on or simply use up and toss. Its those things that you havent touched in  months that are wasting cabinet and vanity space. Theres a catch though. HA! Well you cant buy any makeup until the goal that you set has been completed. Oh yes. Thats crazy right? Well look on the bright side. You save money! Possibly money for a shopping spree once you complete your project and go bat shit crazy or just some extra cash to spend on the loved ones. Whatever the case, its a pretty brilliant idea.

So for inspiration I made a list of all the things that I want to get rid of! ADIOS!

1. My mini duo Fresh mascara. Which I am considering one item since they are minis.
I just dont find myself gravitating to those so I want to correct that and be done.
2. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Makeup.
I am almost done with this puppy so I just need to use it up so I can downsize my family of foundation.
3. Dream Smooth Mousse foundation.
Also I am almost done with this one and I sure dont want to use up my MUFE before this so it made the list.
4. My Seaweed Mattifying gel from The Body Shop.
Well there will be a review on this later but I dont like this so its gotta go!
5. Kenzia Moroccan Oil.
This stuff isn't the best and I paid a decent amount so I need to use it up.
6. My Aqua Marina cleanser from Lush.
This just doesn't beat angels on bare skin. I smell a comparison review :)
7. Dream mousse concealer.
I just really dont like the unsanitary aspect of this. I mean i have better concealers that I like better so this needs to just be gone with already!
8. Ocean Salt from Lush
I originally wanted this for a body scrub but I found that its a bit inconvenient to use with water because it melts so fast for me and is not effective. I have a bit left that I am going to use on my face. We will see how that goes. Plus I just want to add to my black pots so I can get a free cupcake mask :)
9. Ulta stick concealer. I believe called camouflage. I could be wrong! Ill edit this later.
Well, its not horrible but I like my liquid ones much better so mhmm bye bye.
10.Vanishing cream from Lush.
I like this a lot and I am sad that its leaving me but I will just have to say goodbye and stop trying to hold on :(
11. L'Oreal lash boosting serum.
I didi't notice a huge difference at first and then I forgot to keep on using this. Right now my lashes are pretty uneven and I have no idea why so I am hoping this will help.
12. Paul Mitchell moisture and smoothing treatments in the small size. I am counting as two.
These suck. They leave my hair with so much heaviness and I just stuck them away never to be seen again. They need to go seriously.
13. Dr. Peppermint solid shampoo from Lush.
I actually really love this but I forgot about it when I got a different shampoo. I barely made a dent but I know I will enjoy this :)
14. Awapuhi Moisture Mist from Paul Mitchell.
This is a water spray for the body and hair. I actually got this to set my makeup and I dont really see the point because I dont need something super long wearing. Ill try to squeeze in the review.
15. BB cream samples from Skin 79.
Im not really sure if these are authentic but I got these of amazon but have never seen them sold on the online store. I do like them so far but I will give an in depth review in the future.

I think that is what I am going to aim for right now. I decided not to do powder products because honestly an eyeshadow would take me eternally to finish and I just dont want to hit pan I want to be productive and throw some plastic and metal out of my life.

I will post pictures tomorrow of my progress currently on these products and then maybe in a month my progress with pictures then :) So come back and check it out if your bored!

Thanks girls!

A little bit about me!

So you might wonder why another girl who thinks they know beauty is starting another generic beauty blog. It seems like there are just too many out there to keep up with already as it is. Well, I don't give a rats ass really. I am going to go for it! I just want to share my opinions on things that I discover and really I just think that it would be a great hobby!

I just intensively started getting into makeup in the beginning of this lovely 2011 year and it has become a passion of mine ever since. I enjoy discovering new products. I really just want to share my  tips and my experience with some of the products that I have collected over time and recently.

WARNING: I most likely will not be doing makeup tutorials though so I am sorry if that is what you are looking for but im sure you are already following a lot of talented young ladies who could teach you better than me! If your interested in product reviews, HD pictures, swatches, comparisons, and possibly dupes then deffinately look out for new posts in the future.

And some randoms about me:
My name is Cara Alisa and I am 19 from Houston, TX, I have two pitbull dogs and I am going to school to eventually become a speech therapist. That is all.

Have a lovely week ladies!...and gentlemen. :)
